Always keep control of the weight when doing strength exercises.

Never bounce on exercise movements, especially stretching movements (ballistic movements).

Focus on (visualize) the muscle as it's being worked.

Try to relax all other muscles that aren't being worked, at that time.

Always keep back straight in all exercises (don't use poor posture, keep head up).

Some experts recommend eating at least 45 to 90 minutes before participating in any type of exercise program.

You should workout at least 3 to 5 times a week. Every workout needs a recovery time. Beginners need at least 24 to 36 hours of recovery time. Remember to warm-up and stretch before and after every workout.

Injury and soreness can be prevented by maintaining the flexibility of the muscles. Cooling down is important after every workout

Drink plenty of water before, during, and after workout. At least 64 ounces in a day.

Always remember to breathe when exercising. Use proper breathing techniques, such as inhale and exhale. Inhale on the way down and Exhale on the way up when lifting weights.
